I finally decided to open my wallet to purchase the latest Chromecast version 2 after have been hold it for many years. I didnt go to purchase after have been told by my friend that I should try it and see how awesome this little device. So what is actually Chromecast? Chromecast is actually a small plugin device HDMI to your TV. It enables you to cast your favourite youtube videos, playing music or audio, apps or even games or apps on on your TV via your mobile phone. To cast it, you will need to install Chromecast app via Google Play or App Store.
How to install it?
Well, it is pretty easy to setup, the box comes with the following items:
- Chromecast device with HDMI plug
- Power cable
- Warranty card
To install it, simply plug the power cable into Chromecast and wall socket and then plug the Chromecast cable to TV. Once everything have been plug, switch your TV input/source to the HDMI port which your Chromecast is plugged into. Then click this link to setup the chromecast on your mobile phone.
Once it has been installed, simply cast the Chromecast via your mobile. The screen on your mobile will then be cast into your tv screen. Pretty straight forward and cool!!!
Is it recommended to have Chromecast?
Yes, I would truly recommend you purchase it. It is convenient to have a remote control on your mobile to watch your favourite shows especially if you have large cinema screen on your living room. It is a great choice especially if you subscribe to any online streaming video like NetFlix, Stan or Presto.
How much does it cost you?
At the time I bought it, it was $AUD 46 and it was actually a quite good price due to the 20% off offers from Ebay promotion code. Otherwise if you buy it online, the price may range from $AUD 50 up.
